AC/DC murder plot: Phil Rudd hired a hitman to kill two men before his arrest

Phil Rudd, drummer of vintage Australian rock band AC/DC, appeared in a New Zealand district court on Thursday afternoon where he was charged with threatening to kill and drug possession.
Rudd was taken into custody after the police raided his New Zealand home earlier this morning where they found methamphetamine and marijuana.
Rudd is accused of attempting to hire a person to kill two men. District Court Judge Louis Bidois suppressed the release of the names of the alleged targets and the alleged hitman.
The drummer entered no plea to the charges during his court appearance today. He was released on bail and is expected to return to court on November 27.
