YOU’RE KILLIN’ ME: Husband Comes to Defense of Wife Who Thought She Hired Hitman to Kill Him

Julia Merfeld of Muskegon, Michigan, was sentenced today after her husband, whom she tried to have killed, testified on her behalf. She was caught on tape trying to hire a hitman to kill her husband. The hitman turned out to be an undercover officer. She was sentenced to a minimum of five years and eight months in prison.
