"Chaos" as blasts rip through Boston Marathon

In the aftermath of the deadly explosions at the Boston Marathon, witnesses have been recounting the moment the event turned into chaos.

Tens of thousands had turned out to watch the race on Monday (April 15) when two blasts hit near the finish line.

At least three people were killed and over 100 injured.

Many victims suffered shrapnel wounds and amputations.

"There were families all around us with kids yelling and screaming, I mean we were just trying to get away as quick as possible but still I mean around the tall buildings was scary."

"It was loud, it was really, really loud, and then just people, chaos everywhere."

As investigators try to determine what happened, President Barack Obama has vowed to hunt down whoever is responsible.
