This lick is in the key of C♯ major blues.
The first lick is based on C♯ major pentatonic scale.
And it is a classic slow blues opening lick and you hear similar licks among many blues players.
The chord between the licks is C♯6. I think it's rare for B.B. King to play chords between single note phrases. It seems he would do it when he was younger.
The other half of this lick is based on C minor pentatonic scale.
Try incorporating major and minor pentatonic scale in this position.
