Surah Al-A'la (Arabic: الْأعلى) is the 87th letter in the Qur'an. This letter is classified as a makiyyah letter consisting of 19 verses. Named Al A'laa which means the highest taken from the words of Al A'laa contained in the first verse of this letter. Muslims narrated in the book Al Jumu'ah, and also narrated by Ashhaabus Sunan, from Nu'man bin Basyir that the apostle of S.A.W. during the two-day prayer (Fitri and Adha) and the Friday prayer read the letter Al A´laa on the first rak'ah, and the Al Ghaasyiyah letter on the second rak'ah.
