Dentist sues British Airways for $34,000 for sending him to Grenada, not Granada

Washington D.C.-based dentist, Edward Gamson and his partner Lowell Canaday, an American couple, is suing British Airways, claiming the airline ruined their holiday by booking them tickets to Grenada in the Caribbean instead of Granada, Spain.
Gamson and Canaday planned to travel from D.C. to London and then to Granada. According to the lawsuit, couple received an e-ticket that referred to Grenada but didn't list the country, airport code or flight duration.
The couple didn't realize the booking problem until they were airborne on their connecting flight from London. Gamson said they looked at a back-of-the-seat TV map, which showed the plane heading west. When they asked a member of the airline's crew what was going on, they were informed that they were headed toward Grenada.
Gamson said he had explained his travel plans in detail to the British Airways agent who made the reservation. The lawsuit also stated that they were not the only passengers misrouted. When they arrived in the Caribbean, a member of the ground crew told them that "the exact same situation" had happened the week before.
The couple is seeking $34,000 in damages plus court costs and other expenses.
