Meet Shane Tyson. Here is is in happier times, blissfully unaware of the string of idiotic choices he would make on Tuesday (July 1) which will likely earn him a criminal record.
Tyson, a resident of Fayette County, Georgia, was apparently smarting over the whereabouts of a Walmart card holding $6 of value his ex-girlfriend was in possession of. So he grabbed his katana sword got in his car and headed for the motorhome where his former lover had since taken up with a new man.
Things got ugly immediately as Tyson screamed obscenities at Stephanie Workman, which woke up husband Eric Workman, who told him to Tyson to leave at once. Instead tyson retreated to his car and unsheathed the Japanese killing blade.
Fighting began as Tyson lunged and slashed with the sword, striking Workman above the right hip.
But Workman, fighting for his wife's honor and maybe his life, grabbed a metal barbecue spatula brush, and took his chance, striking tyson over the head, his will to fight: gone. The vanquished Tyson then stumbled to his car and left.
Workman was treated for his injuries and received 12 stitches. Tyson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and a number of other crimes.
