Teen With Terminal Cancer Posts Heartwarming Note After Charity Fundraising Goal Is Met

19-year-old Stephen Sutton from Burntwood, UK began raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust several years ago, after he was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the age of 15. Sutton recently took to his Facebook page to react to the news that he had surpassed his goal of raising $1.68 million for the charity.
An inspirational teenager with terminal cancer recently helped raise over $1.5 million for charity. 19-year-old Stephen Sutton from Burntwood, UK began raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust several years ago, after he was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the age of 15.
Sutton recently took to his Facebook page to react to the news that he had surpassed his goal of raising 1 million British pounds for the charity. In the post he commented “It's a final thumbs up from me! … I will continue fighting for as long as I can, and whatever happens next I want you all to know I am currently in a good place mentally and at ease with the situation.”
Sutton made sure to thank everyone for their support and donations. He also mentioned he probably wouldn’t have the energy to update his Facebook status or Tweet, as his health is declining quickly.
Within hours after his sad, yet heartwarming post, Netizens had contributed several hundred thousand pounds more, with one Facebook poster suggesting they get it to 2 million pounds. Raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust is only one of the things Sutton put on his bucket list following his diagnosis.
