A homeowner in Pasadena, Griffin Gmelich is left devastated after his children’s Christmas presents were stolen right from under the family tree.

The suspects reportedly gained entry inside the home by crawling through a doggie door. On top of swiping the gifts, the crooks also made off with jewelry, electronics, festive ornaments, stocking stuffers and the kids’ piggy banks.

Out of all the losses, the family is traumatized the most by the theft of urns which held the ashes of Gmelich’s parents. The crime occurred on December 20th and it was captured on film, thanks to a neighbor’s security camera.

For approximately 2 hours, the suspects could be seen loading up a getaway vehicle with the stolen goods. In additional to that evidence, the suspects left behind fingerprints and footprints in the residence.

Gmelich’s Christmas wish is that justice will be served. His family is also dealing with the robbery emotionally, having had their peace of mind completely taken.

Gmelich is now closing up the doggie door and installing his own surveillance system.
