I Never Knew Carling Max Quartet 1990
Twenty one year old Max Carling is a master on the tenorsax. The mature way he swings through this tune is simply superb. His 19 year old sister, who plays a great sax as well as trombone, backs him up on the piano in a most swinging manner. Mom Aina is on banjo and eleven year old Ulf handles the drums like many a professional might wish for.
This was recorded in 1990 in during a jazz club concert in Kungshamn in Sweden.
