RioHeroes is an extreme fight league built by fighters for fighters coming straight from Brazil. The website enables the real soul of vale tudo, free style fighting, to be viewed by a worldwide audience in its true, unadulterated form. The contenders compete without gloves, rules, or time limits in no holds barred steel cage matches. The only spectators are serious fighters themselves, who can be heard taunting fighters and shouting out suggestive comments during the match in their native Portuguese language.

Jorge Pereira, one of the best mixed martial arts competitor of all time as well as 5th degree blackbelt in JiuJitsu under Rickson Gracie, quickly recognized the authenticity and seriousness of Rio Heroes and immediately began sponsoring and refereeing the events. The warrior code, made by the Jorge and the Brazilian fighters alike, is all that is followed inside the cage. This code means fighters refrain from hitting the groin, gouging eyes, and hair pulling out of respect for their competitors and the cage for which they do battle.

Through the years, American involvement and corporate regulations have created rounds, rules, and many other lackluster restrictions. Do not expect to see this or any other Hollywood-type fights on this website. All it has to offer is street fighting in its purest form, including knockouts, blackouts, and broken bones. From the gyms and streets of Brazil, warriors converge to take on each other and try to become the next Rio Hero. Events are broadcasted live tuesday nights at 7pm est.
