Cameras capture the moment a bomb explodes as runners crossed the finish line at the Boston marathon on Monday.

The dual blast left three people dead and at least 176 wounded.

Among the victims were two Chinese students, one killed and one left gravely injured.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry in Beijing said the government was "extremely concerned" after the attack.

The ministry's spokeswoman said Chinese authorities will spare no effort to assist in helping the victim's families.

The wounded Chinese student is currently recovering at Boston Medical centre after two operations.

China's deputy consul general told reporters that her life is no longer in danger, and held a note up that she had written which said: "I am fine, don't worry".

Both Chinese students were watching the race when the explosions went off.
