An iPhone dock is an anti-loneliness Ramen noodle bowl.

Don't have a dinner partner?

Worry not, a company called MisoSoupDesign has created an “anti-loneliness Ramen bowl” prototype which would help a solitary person get through dinner.

The concept is simple, you can’t eat and use your iPhone comfortably so the bowl serves as a dock allowing a diner to comfortably stay connected online while consuming food. The bowl is said to possess a nice sound amplifier too.

The dock resides on one end of the bowl which allows a smartphone‘s screen to appear across from the diner’s face which also means they won’t have the look at the empty seat across the table.

In late 2011, another concept for an iPhone dock proved how much these smartphones are part of our everyday lives. Dubbed the iShop, designers of this product wanted to make shopping easier by designing an application and a shopping cart handle with buttons and a slot for the phone.

What's the most unusual use for a smartphone you have come across?
