Cute kittens, cats targeted in New Zealand

Gareth Morgan, environmentalist and economist, has launched a campaign to control cats in New Zealand in order to protect native bird species. On Tuesday, Morgan launched his website, "Cats to Go," which encourages the neutering and euthanasia of felines.

Morgan has asked cat-loving New Zealanders to make their current cat their last one. Cats are natural born predators that have been known to decimate local populations of birds and other species.
