Republicans look to the White House after Romney speech

Supporters rally behind Mitt Romney, saying he has energized the Republican campaign for a final push to the White House.
In a major speech, the Republican candidate took to the podium Thursday (August 30) night, calling for political change.
Romney urged voters to help him rebuild the U.S. economy and appealed to those disillusioned with President Barack Obama.
The speech was met by cheers at the Republican National Convention.
Despite a minor disruption by protesters, many hailed the speech.
As the balloons came down, Republicans said they were ready for victory.

"I am really excited. We're going to take back our country. We're firing Obama."

"It's been great. It's fired us up. We're going forward. We're going to make it happen."
SOUNDBITE: JAN LARIMER, JACKSON, WYOMING, CO-CHAIR FOR WYOMING REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE, SAYING (English):
"This is just the cherry on the whipped cream, on the ice cream, and we're going to win in November, and there's no stopping it now. This is the wind that's going to blow us into office."
Romney will run against Obama in the election on November 6.
