CGRundertow DR. MARIO for Game Boy Video Game Review

Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Dr. Mario from Nintendo for the Game Boy. Released in 1990, Dr. Mario arrived on Nintendo platforms with a potent double dose. It was released on the NES at the same time, largely a Nintendo response to the falling-block puzzle craze caused by Tetris. That influence is pretty obvious on Dr. Mario, but where Tetris never ends, Dr. Mario does. Where Tetris starts with an empty screen, Dr. Mario starts with a full one. Where Tetris features intense Russian music, Dr. Mario features the funkiest jam in history. If they played Dr. Mario at hospitals, everyone would be cured. This video review features video gameplay footage of Dr. Mario for the Game Boy and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
