Procter and Gamble and UNICEF won Golden Halo Awards for overall excellence in cause marketing, at the Cause Marketing Forum conference held in Chicago. Other winners of Halo Awards include Coca-Cola and World Wildlife Fund, Zynga and Save the Children, and Toys “R” Us and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Over 500 cause marketing professionals attended the Halo Awards event, voted in a “Perfect Pitch” contest, and celebrated the10th anniversary of CMF.

Unilever has held a 24-hour, global dialogue to coincide with the first year progress report on the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan. The online “Sustainable Living Lab” registered 4,000 comments from 2,200 people from 77 countries. The Lab provided a forum for topics raised in the report, from sustainable sourcing and consumer behavior change to waste and recycling.
