Riz Khan -Lifting the veil on sexuality-14 Sep 09- Pt 2

Is it corrupting or liberating moral values when sexual topics are being openly discussed in the Middle East?

This is the debate sparked by a magazine called Jasad (Body) published in Lebanon and distributed throughout the Arab world.

It openly discusses long-standing taboos in Arab culture ranging from sexual fetishes to homosexuality, and even cannibalism.

It also highlights articles by famous authors and scholars discussing their first sexual experience.

Some are accusing Jasad of corrupting moral values, and calling it for it to shut down operations.

Its founder argues that the magazine portrays the body not as something to be ashamed of, but rather celebrated.
