ENCOUNTERS WITH THE OTHER director Maria Finitzo discusses the upcoming Kartemquin KTQ Labs Spring Showcase at the Gene Siskel Film Center. The Showcase on May 15 will be the first public showing of anything from ENCOUNTERS WITH THE OTHER, a journey deep into the Bolivian lowlands to examine one community's attempt to hold onto their tradition and culture despite encroaching globalization.
