Bob Dylan will be awarded America's highest civilian honor, the Medal Of Freedom. He is being recognized alongside former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, John Glenn, the third American in space, and Nobel Prize-winning novelist Toni Morrison. President Obama will award the medals at the White House in the coming weeks.

Pop star Kylie Minogue is set to headline the BBC's Proms In The Park concert in September. The Australian singer, who is celebrating 25 years in the music industry, will be backed by the BBC Concert Orchestra at the event. Her Proms concert will likely recreate new, orchestral arrangements of her hits.

A movie about Cuban boat people, whose stars have gone missing, has won three prizes at the Tribeca Film Festival. The best actor award went to Javier Nunez Florian, who disappeared with his co-star Analin de la Rua de la Torre, en route to the festival. Their movie, Una Noche, is about three Cuban teenagers who defect to the US.

Adele has pulled in a few more prizes, this time for her record label. XL Recordings picked up four prizes from the Music Week Awards, mostly for its work on Adele's "21." The British singer's second album sold more than 20 million copies worldwide.
