Julz & the Grimly Beats are a Brisbane based band who delves in a mixed genre of Independent Popular Roots Music (IPRM). Forming in 2010 they create sub-pop, singer/songwriter, roots style music with catchy melodies and socially intriguing lyrics. Their live performances has seen them play at some of Brisbane's popular music venues and festivals; such as the Fete de la Musique Festival (2010) and the Red Deer Music Festival (2010, 2011). Their biggest achievement to date was scoring a spot on the Bill for Splendour in the Grass 2011.
2011 also saw the release of their first studio album, SUNDAY SUNRISE. We a new lineup change, 2012 will see J and the G Beats focusing their attention on giving their debut album the best support they can.
