And for farmers, the winter months are often slow... with many taking up the table game of mahjong. But for some in one village in northeastern China... they're doing anything but sitting down.

A dangerous new disease is wreaking havoc in a small village in northeastern China -- dance fever.

Song Changfu has given the elders of Huangshao Village in northeast China's Liaoning Province a place to bust a move. His ballroom just opened and is attracting crowds to dance just like they did in the days of their youth.

Song and his wife have been teaching villagers to dance for the past three years in their home... but space was limited.

Song and his wife talked over the matter and decided to build a dance hall themselves. Song built the hall in his own orchard after cutting down more than 100 vines and 20 plum trees.

[Song Changfu, Has a Love of Dancing]:

"By dancing and singing together when we are free, we are happier and more united. My wife and I are willing to do something to make others happy."

Song's ballroom is filled with crowds every day, with those who used to play Mahjong now in love with dancing.
