Exclusive: Janus Metz Talks Armadillo

Part of the growing filmography of the war in Afghanistan, Armadillo is a documentary that pulls absolutely no punches. It's more cinematic and consciously polished than last year's Oscar nominee Restrepo but it offers a similarly ballsy-stroke-crazy disregard for whizzing bullets and exploding IEDs, as it follows a squad of Danish soldiers into combat. As director Janus Metz told us, "It's very easy as a filmmaker to get hooked on these kinds of experiences." Metz told us about the controversial scene in which the troops may or may not have killed Taliban wounded, and the reaction of the men to seeing the film. http://www.empireonline.com/interviews/interview.asp?IID=1246
