Kercher lawyer to address Knox appeal

Amanda Knox, convicted of killing her British roommate Meredith Kercher, arrives in a Perugia court.
A lawyer representing Kercher will address the appeals hearing on Monday as a panel of judges prepare their verdict.
Knox's father says the lawyer is likely to follow the prosecutors' lead.

"I frankly believe that the Kercher family lawyer is going to act just like another prosecutor, so we will kind of have to see what he has to say and we'll go from there, so that's really what my expectations are."
24-year-old Knox was sentenced to 25 years in prison in 2009 for murdering Kercher in a sex game gone wrong.
Knox's Italian boyfriend at the time and another man were also convicted for their part and sent to prison.
On Saturday, the prosecution asked judges to uphold Knox's sentence.
Friends and family of Knox say the trial has been difficult to watch, but they are confident she will go free.

"I think in a lot of the forensic evidence that was presented on Saturday by the prosecution there is numerous, numerous holes in their assumptions, so we are looking forward to actually having our opportunity this week to defend ourselves so we look forward to it."

"Yesterday was really nice to have a break finally because it was really, really exhausting to listen to the prosecution for a couple of days but I'm not as distraught as I thought I would be after listening to so many hours of them, because I almost felt like I wanted them to talk more because it made no sense what they were saying."
The court will also hear testimony from a Congolese bar owner Knox says is responsible for Kercher's death.
Judges are expected to hand down a verdict next week.
