The British government has published a new draft planning framework that calls sustainable growth a top priority. The paper, by the Department for Communities and Local Government, calls for fast-tracking planning decisions that promote greener buildings, green energy, and protection of biodiversity in the environment. The proposals could be put into practice throughout the United Kingdom by April of next year.
