The biggest main event in sports entertainment history, WWF Champion Hulk Hogan defends his Championship against the "8th Wonder of the World" Andre the Giant, in front of 93,173 fans at the Pontiac Silverdome, Michigan.
Bobby "The Brain" Heenan was in Andre the Giant's corner as he came to the ring. The fans booed Andre heavily, yet Hogan came to the ring to a huge ovation. During the match, Hogan attempted to bodyslam Andre, but he was unable to lift the Giant and nearly lost the match when Andre fell on him and nearly pinned him. Hogan finally managed to body slam the 520lb Giant and hit a leg drop to get the win and retain the WWF championship.
