Dotée d'une voix impressionnante, Choi Sung-hee a commencé à chanter très jeune. Elle entre dans un lycée d'arts et se spécialise dans le chant coréen traditionnel. Avant de devenir Bada à part entière, Sung-hee a été membre du trio féminin S.E.S , fondée en 1998.
