Sacramento Man Arrested After Paying Homeless Woman $20 to Watch Granddaughter

A 54-year-old man named Jason Warren was arrested in Sacramento, California, after police say he paid a homeless woman $20 to watch his 7-year-old granddaughter while he drank at a bar for four hours. When the woman, Lauren Jope, didn't return with the child after a long time, Warren started flagging down people, claiming the girl had been trafficked. Jope told police that Warren was too drunk to care for the girl so she took her to get food at her camp. Police conducted a search with K9 units, helicopters, and drones before finding the girl safe with Jope.
