Perth’s hot and dry conditions blamed for the 100 turtle deaths at Bibra Lake wetlands

A species of turtles endemic to freshwater lakes in south-west WA is facing its biggest challenge – the drying of lakes coupled with the threat of foxes. A Perth wildlife group has collected a graveyard of almost 100 turtle shells from a lakebed in Bibra Lake, and are calling for help to protect the species from extinction.
