Trump May Face Questioning on Previous Court Rulings Under Testimony, Including Tax Fraud and Defamation Cases

Prosecutors will be allowed to question Former President Donald Trump about previous court rulings involving fraud and defamation, should Trump choose to testify. This includes a 2020 ruling that found the Trump Organization guilty of tax fraud and a 2022 case where Trump was held liable for defaming E Jean Carroll over sexual assault allegations. Prosecutors will not be able to discuss monetary damages from the Carroll case or details of the sexual misconduct allegations themselves.
