They Came to Rob Hong Kong is a 1989 Hong Kong action comedy film produced and directed by Clarence Fok Yiu-leung (霍耀良) and starring Dean Shek Tin (石天), who also serves as the film's writer and executive producer. The film co-stars Chingmy Yau Suk-ching (邱淑貞), Roy Cheung Yiu-Yeung (張耀揚), Sandra Ng Kwan-yue (吳君如), Eric Tsang Chi-wai (曾志偉), Stanley Fung Shui-fan (馮淬帆) , Liu Wai-hung (廖偉雄) and Chin Siu-ho (錢嘉華).

Mao Yiu-tung (Roy) is a vicious bank robber who has to flee to the Mainland after being on close pursuit by team of female police officers led by a tough Superintendent of Police Shang (Kara Wai Ying-hung (惠英红). There, he recruits a ragtag team of hapless morons (among which Eric, Stanley, Sandra, Dean and Chin) to return to Hong Kong and attempt a daring bank heist.

The team consists of two quack doctors, Ken (Eric) and Yuen (Stanley), a singer named Leslie Cheung (Liu), a dancer (Sandra) and a martial artist named Bruce Hung (Chin), and two cops, Sherlock False (Dean) and Monroe (Sandra). The team is mentored by Jenny Tung (Chingmy), who teaches them about Hong Kong's society and geography.
