Israel-Hamas war update- Israel battles Hamas after attempted ambush

Israeli warplanes strike parts of the Gaza strip, hitting bits of land after placing evacuation orders. The strikes follow after the U.S. vetoed a United Nations resolution demanding an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant argues that “a cease-fire is handing a prize to Hamas, dismissing the hostages held in Gaza and signaling terror groups everywhere.”
