JERMAINE JENAS jokingly threatened to walk away after a brutal jibe from Laura Woods.

The TNT Sports team was broadcasting live from the Parc des Princes before Newcastle's controversial 1-1 Champions League draw with PSG.

And they were joined by Rio Ferdinand and Shay Given on pitchside.

The former Toon goalkeeper arrived late and Woods couldn't resist the chance to poke fun at Jenas, who also used to play for the club.

Woods quipped: "We have a proper Newcastle legend alongside us now... Shay Given."

Jenas reacted "Wow" and he walked off camera.

Woods burst into laughter and Ferdinand laughed "Get your coat".

Fans found it hilarious, one said: "Woodsy's just killed Jenas there... lovely stuff."

Another added: "Jenas looked offended."

Given is a hero at St James' Park after he played 462 times for the club across 12 seasons.

Jenas featured in 152 matches for the Magpies from 2002 to 2005.

The retired midfielder eventually left for Tottenham.

Woods is no stranger to laughing on Champions League nights, previously leaving Ally McCoist in stitches after a rude gag.
