Birmingham headlines 2nd Nov: Wolves fan found guilty of racially abusing Rio Ferdinand
A Wolves fan has been found guilty of racially abusing Rio Ferdinand at Molineux. 33 year old Jamie Arnold from Stone hurled racist gestures at the TV pundit and former England defender during the Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester United fixture in May 2021. He's set to be sentenced before Christmas.

Next - Four members of an organised crime group have been jailed after attempting to smuggle £11m worth of cocaine into the UK hidden in a consignment of bananas. The gang included Mirgent Shahu, from Sutton Coldfield, who was sentenced to eighteen years behind bars.

And finally - Halloween may be over but that won't stop the witches of Birmingham. A look at the most recent census figures shows there are a surprising number of folks who identify as witches, pagans, and even Satanists, in England and Wales, with an increasing number appearing here in the second city.
