After the conquest of Makkah in 630 AD according to 8 Hijri, Hazrat Bilal ibn Rabah gave the call to prayer for the first time from the roof of the Kaaba on the order of the Holy Prophet. At that time, there was only Mataf area adjacent to Masjid al-Haram, and there was no specific boundary wall, and no minaret was built. Minaret was built for the first time in 754 CE, corresponding to 137 AH during the reign of Abbasid Caliph Abu Jafar al-Mansur in order to make the call to prayer heard far away in Masjid al-Haram During this period, the first minaret was built near Bab al-Umrah, which is located on the north side of Masjid al-Haram. Asked to provide loudspeakers and microphones for Friday and Eid sermons. During this period, the Friday sermon in Masjid al-Haram was usually delivered by Sheikh Abd al-Rahman, son of Sheikh Abu al-Samh, in a loud voice, which could only be heard by the limited number of worshipers present in the mosque.
Later on October 31, 1947, Sheikh Abdul Zahir Abu Al-Samh delivered the Friday se
