Hitman: Codename 47 sets a new standard for thinker-shooters. As Hitman you must use stealth, tactics and imagination to enter, execute and exit your assignment, getting minimum attention but maximum effect!
You have access to the most devious devices, but it will cost you – how you use them will determine if you retire as a millionaire, or get retired! Hitman is no ordinary hired killer – he’s a versatile forensic artist using stealth, disguise, intelligence, advanced weapons, poison and raw power to accomplish his kills. But he is also haunted by a troubling past of deception and brutal genetic engineering.
The intriguing story evolves over five chapters of riveting action. But the success of a contract killer depends just as much on a fast mind as a quick shot.

Hitman: Codename 47 is a stealth video game from the year 2000 which was developed by IO Interactive and published by Eidos Interactive. The game was exclusively released for the Microsoft Windows platform and it was the debut title of the Hitman franchise. The game Hitman: Codename 47 has been written by Peter Gjellerup Koch and Morten Iversen. The game has been composed by Jesper Kyd and it is now available to play in singleplayer mode. Hitman: Codename 47 got released in North America on 19th November 2000 and later on 1st December 2000 it got released in Europe.

To us society is normal. We walk the streets fearing no one and nothing. Yet through his ice blue eyes, Agent 47 sees a world of potential threat and danger. He watches interested, but uninvolved. Your time has come to enter the Hitman’s world. A world where you trust no-one but yourself, a player in a deadly game, a warrior on a battlefield most people don’t even know exists.
HITMAN First Mission Details
In the basement of a remote sanatorium, a tattooed bald man, shackled to a bed in a locked and padded cell, was awakened by an unidentified voice over a loudspeaker. The man, a genetically engineered clone known only as ”47", slowly came around while the door unlocked. The loudspeaker claimed he was the person he could "trust the most".
47 was ordered to get rid of his hospital robes, a suit awaiting him on the other side of the door. With the voice instructing him further on, 47 practiced his movement fluidity and strength through an obstacle course, learning to use different kinds of weapons, which finally ended with 47 disguising himself as one of the orderlies to escape. Meanwhile, the man controlling the loudspeaker watched 47 on a camera near the exit during the escape responded with a satisfied laugh.
