The Music of Wedding Chimes - Charles Hart (1919)

  • el año pasado
Here's a nice, beautiful number from #CharlesHart and #ShannonFour on a song from 1919, written by #EdgarLeslie and #PeteWendling . This is the “B” side to “Dreamy Alabama” by Charles Hart and #LewisJames, and it was released on #Victor #78rpm 18596. If you enjoy what I'm uploading, why don't you take a minute and click on the “subscribe” button? Thanks and God bless ya! I'm just one guy trying to keep the memory of old time music alive. This really isn't “in demand,” and it hasn't been for years, but I also know there are people like me who love to learn about historical things, including music, and that's what my channel is here for.

I appreciate the music publishers for allowing these little heard gems to stay on my channel. I'm not trying to make money here or step on anybody's toes with copyright infringement. If there's ever a problem with anything I upload, I will be more than happy to take it down. I'm a collector who has amassed close to 50,000 songs on my computer, and I like to share things that are not heard too often. I imagine the majority of what I post isn't even on CD or any other digital format. I have taken time to digitally restore these from the original records; you might hear a stray click or pop here and there, but for the most part, these sound really good. If a recording is a bit below par, please rest assured I have done the best I can do with it-you can't always get them perfect. You can eliminate more noise in many cases, but it comes at the expense of the sound quality of the recording. I would rather hear some surface noise from a 78 than to muddy up the sound and have it sounding rather lackluster.
