Workers from the People's Republic of China conducted a geotechnical investigation or soil sampling for the highly-anticipated Samal Island-Davao City Connector (SIDC) Project along Lanang in Davao City.

The proposed bridge will be funded by a $350-million loan from the Chinese government.

The Philippines and China inked the loan agreement on June 13, 2022 and reportedly set to start the construction this year.

According to the reports, the 3.9-kilometer bridge is set to be completed in 2027. (MB Video by Keith Bacongco)
