Hostilities between the state government and the union continue to derail people's daily commutes with the Illawarra line down for most of the day.

More industrial action is planned through out the month as the two sides continue to fight over safety and pay. For months the rail union and the state government have fought over a new enterprise agreement and safety concerns about the new intercity fleet.
