Finance Minister wants spend caps on election campaigns

The new federal Finance Minister, Katy Gallagher, says a move to cap spending on federal election campaigns should be considered. Expenditure caps exist at a state level, but at a federal level, there are currently no limits on how much parties can raise or spend trying to get elected.
