A blue-eyed black lemur was born at Florida’s Jacksonville Zoo, the second in the facility’s history. The sex of the baby lemur has not yet been announced.

Blue-eyed black lemurs are only found in the wild on the island nation of Madagascar. In a Facebook post, the zoo said that the animal is ‘critically endangered, and every birth of this species is critical to their long-term sustainability.’
