The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have returned from an eight-day visit to the Caribbean, where they journeyed from Belize to Jamaica before arriving at their final stop in the Bahamas. The trip was widely seen as an attempt to heal tensions between the Crown and the Commonwealth after Barbados removed the Queen as head of state in November 2021. However, the royal tour was condemned by Jamaican human rights organisation Advocates Network, which called for the UK Government to pay reparations to the islands of the Caribbean.
