This is the moment Italian police rescue a man after he fell into a freezing canal in pitch-black darkness. The footage was shared online by the time police, who said: "A call was received at the operations room of the Bologna Police Headquarters to warn that a man is in a canal. It is pitch dark and the water is very cold but the police officers intervene immediately upon entering the canal. The man is in danger as he could be carried away by the current but fortunately, the agents manage to locate him and grab him. All of them are then pulled out in turn by the other policemen who in the meantime have blocked a vehicle with a crane arm to help. The man was taken to hospital and we hope he will soon overcome this delicate period of his life. One of the policemen was operated on for a fracture and I hope he will recover soon."
