Maidstone council clamps down on high emissions taxis

Maidstone borough Council has pushed to tackle air pollution by making cab drivers exchange their high-emissions taxis for greener alternatives.
From January, the council could reject any license applications if the driver doesn't own a hybrid, electric or low emissions vehicle.
