Asian Games 1998: Chai-yo
When Bangkok, Thailand's capital, hosted the 13th Asian Games in 1998, the elephant image was resurrected as the mascot of the Asian Games. Elephants are revered in Thailand, as they are in India.

Asian Games 2002: Duria
When Busan hosted the XIV Asian Games in 2002, the seagull was chosen as the mascot as an embodiment of Busan pride. Duria is the name of the mascot seagull.

Asian Games 2006: Orry
Doha, as host of the XV Asian Games, adopted a mascot in the form of a threatened species of wildlife, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN): Oryx, sometimes known as the Arabian gibbon, is a type of oryx (Oryx Leucoryx)

Asian Games 2010: A Xiang, A He, A Ru, A Yi dan Le Yangyang
"The City of Goats." Guangzhou, the 2010 Asian Games XVI host city, was given this moniker. It's no surprise that the GAGOC's (Guangzhou Asian Games Committee) mascot is five goats (four small goats and one adult goat).
