Burkina Faso: A student job transformed into a business

Edwige OUÉDRAOGO is passionate about cooking. This passion led her to take up a part-time job with a caterer while she was a student in France.

Upon her return in Burkina Faso, she created "YelkabéE Traiteur", a caterering company specialised in creating dishes from seasonal fruits and vegetables.

"I have no training in cooking. I am completely self-taught. I learned everything on the job by researching recipes on the internet myself, testing and retesting if it didn't work," says Edwige.
