Achim wants to repudiate his wife because she has sold his doves in an attempt to stop him losing the money from the sale in dice games. After having taught “The Lord’s Prayer” to his apostles, Jesus is questioned by the Scribes and Pharisees on the lawfulness of repudiating one’s wife and on the laws of Moses. Achim, who is among those listening, realizes that he is mistaken and decides not to repudiate his wife after all. Afterwards, at Betsaida,Jesus restores the sight to a man who has been blind from birth, leading to more controversy among the Pharisees. They are the ones who are really blind because they have eyes but do not see, and think that they are the holders of the truth...
