Air Selangor and the Selangor Water Management Board (LUAS) had identified the site where evidence of dumping of pollutants at the Semenyih river were found on Sunday evening, following reports of odour pollution that forced the Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant (LRA) to shut down and caused water disruptions to over 1.6 million people. SState Exco for Tourism, Environment, Green Technology and Consumer Affairs, Elizabeth Wong released a statement on that on Monday afternoon and said cleanup of the area had started and LRA had resumed its operations.
