In 2007, Volkswagen added the compact SUV Tiguan to their model range. Since then, 2.8 million models have been sold in 170 countries. In the popular SUV segment, the Tiguan is the highest-ranking model in terms of sales in Europe. The expectations for the 2016 second generation are high.
