Old City or Inner City is the historical core of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The Old City is the most ancient part of Baku which is surrounded by walls which were easily defended.

Baku old city is very well preserved & restored... There are lots of shops,restaurants & well maintained old buildings within the wall. One should not miss a night walk in this area.Old city is very clean and peaceful area. I recommend to everyone to visit to this place and if possible taste some local tea near Maiden tower.
